I miss this era of gaming so much. I still have all of my amiibo that I had to beg my parents to buy back then and then finished my collection once I got a job and Ultimate came out. Amiibo hunting was so much fun.

I miss this era just as much as a lot of you. I got some chunk of wave 3a at the time. I got bowser, toon link, and sheik. I definitely don’t have lucario, he’s still one I need to buy, likely online on Amazon or someplace. I still need to get some of the amiibos that I don’t have. Some of the exclusive ones I’m glad I gotten over the years as they came out. One day I’d love to truly complete my amiibo collection. But yeah, this is nostalgic for me for how fun amiibo hunting was those days

I remember when I got my retro 3 pack at my local GameStop. I remember seeing a paper stuck to the window showing the retro 3 pack, and I knew I had to get it. It was one of the first ones that I preordered I think, and I got lucky and got it the day of. It was a great day, and I still have them in an amiibo bag somewhere. Definitely was a big win for me that day. Idk if I saw your video before or after I got the amiibos, but I definitely loved seeing you get the retro 3 pack, so yeah. I don’t think I ever got the Meta knight amiibo ever during my time amiibo hunting. If I ever get that craze to finish collecting all the amiibos one day, I think maybe meta knight will be one of the first few I’ll buy. Still am glad for the amiibos I’ve got, I’ve got a pretty good collection of them still with me

I remember the days of collecting those amiibos, and trying to find and buy the exclusives too. This was the video that got me hyped up to start collecting Hot Toys predators.16 yrs later my Hot Toys Predators has grown and my favorite on the list would be Wolf Predators.

these videos had me in a chokehold when i was 7 years old

Started buying Amiibo cause they where supposedly rare. I remember watching this channel whilst i was hunting over here in Europe 😂 After collecting the first two waves a local store that sold these would always keep 1 of each new SSB Amiibo they would get in, on the side for me. A lot of times they only recieved 1 of a specific character and they put it aside for me. After all these years i collected them up to nr.86 (Terry Bogard). A all first print Amiibo collection kept mint in moving boxes when i just didn't understand why i was still collecting these and sold the whole collection for the price i bought them. Made no profit, but in hindsight was a somewhat fun thing to hunt these down. Nevertheless, i know Nintendo as a company and how sneaky they can be, as most companies, and i am to this day convinced that the "scarcity" was part of the marketing stunt to sell these as they certainly are not scarse at all. I am also convinced that the "factory misprints" that sold for exaggerated prices on eBay were part of that marketing as well. I can't believe that the last Amiibo hasn't hit the shelves yet and already 9 years have passed.
